The Product Owner specialises in understanding user needs, delivery strategy and adoption of product enhancements that demonstrate meaningful and measurable value to users, customers and FDB. They are responsible for continuous product development that delivers against the market strategy.
1. Define and manage delivery of the product roadmap, delivering solution enhancements with clearly demonstrable value to customers, to appropriate quality, time and cost variables.

Lead design, development and implementation of software products that not only match clients’ requirements but are also delivered within time and budget constraints (project, capex and operational), whilst working with colleagues across the organisation to optimise the balance between short-term profitability and long-term sustainability.
3. Manage product feature requests and bug fix backlogs to ensure enhancements and new solutions are delivered to customers’ expectations in a timely and cost-effective manner, driving customer satisfaction and retention.
4. Create prototypes, authoring of detailed specifications, successful communication of conceptual ideas, and design rationale to provide unambiguous requirements to all supply functions (internal and external), ensuring product design delivers a cohesive user experience.
5. Identify, test and deliver existing or new growth opportunities that leverage the product’s capabilities and position in market.
6. Be ‘constantly curious’ to establish, document and disseminate a deep understanding of the customer/user experience to underpin and evidence the generation of value through product deliverables to customer, user and FDB.
7. Work closely with peers to ensure the product’s vision, strategies and roadmaps are aligned and are supportable for the future.
8. Lead and facilitate major technical decisions for the development team; and evaluating revenue and sales projections against development and maintenance costs, ensuring both current solutions and future developments are sustainably profitable.
9. Work collaboratively with customer facing teams to ensure that enhancements are deployed by customers and the expected value is materialised.
