The new-build 144-room Ibis Bridgwater – opened in March 2021 – is managed by Cycas Hospitality and is Cycas’ first property under the Ibis name by the Accor brand. The five-storey property incorporates a ground-floor restaurant named the Keepers Kitchen & Bar, and meeting facilities. Job Scope To ensure that the highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all times. To complete all relevant procedures in relation to the respective department as laid down by the company. Promotes the desired work culture around our company values. Hours will be a mixture of early shifts (7am till 3:30pm), and late shifts (2:30pm till 11pm) 5 days a week. Key Job Responsibilities To be fully conversant with the facilities, services and special promotions offered by the hotel and to pass this information on to the guest whenever the possibility arises in order to maximise hotel sales To have a full working knowledge of the reward programme and its benefits – taking every opportunity to enrol new members Whenever possible to anticipate guest’s needs, to be aware of all written and spoken requests, to carry out these requests in a courteous and helpful manner To be fully conversant and able to operate the hotels front office systems Ensure that all charges are correctly posted to the guests bills following the standard procedures Be aware of the hotel availability and that every opportunity to maximise room sales is taken Deal with cash, cheque and credit transactions in accordance with the hotel and company policy, and to ensure that any discrepancies are reported immediately Ensure the float handed over is checked and correct Ensure all messages received for guests are passed on accurately and as quickly as possible Ensure a sound knowledge of the local area regarding history, places of interest and special events and where further information can be obtained Operate the hotel switchboard and deal with all internal and external calls, according to procedure To display and fulfil positive service style WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING Customer Service experience, preferably in an Accor Brand, but not essential Previous experience of a similar role EXCELLENT COMPANY BENEFITS Competitive Salary Exclusive employee discounted rates to Accor and Cycas hotels Continuous paid Training and Development opportunities Free Healthcare plan Cycas Hospitality is a gift for any hospitality professional.
