What's the Role:
As a Design Engineer, you will work in agile, responsive engineering groups in the development and design of customized products. You will ensure the provision of specialized engineering solutions and bring quality products to market quickly aligned with the business strategy and customer needs. This role will be based in the Mineral Processing division focusing on the development of Fixed Plant Products; specifically chutes and mills.
You will provide expertise in engineering and design in the development/modification of products, and services on 3D modelling software. You will be responsible for technical analysis, support, and presentations to customers, and anticipate any needs that come from this analysis.
You are a customer-focused person, who is committed to making a difference. You will contribute to the analysis, support, testing of new products, solutions, and services, and capture information for the documentation of training/education/marketing for both internal and external stakeholders.
You will work with third-party contacts to identify and capitalise on new/emerging opportunities for products and services.
Overall, you will ensure the effective management and protection of the intellectual property, as it relates to engineering and product solutions of the business in support of the sales, marketing, and manufacturing activities, including joint venture and outsourcing production partners.
This role is open for candidates based in Newcastle or Adelaide.
Key Criteria:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Diploma in Engineering will be considered)
* Experience managing a variety of engineering projects at once
* Experience developing new products and services and customizing them for clients – including on-site representation, technical contract development and presentation of customer benefits through design
* Advanced experience with CAD design software including 3D modelling and 2D drafting
* Experience with FEA and DEM/MBD. Specific experience with software such as Unigraphics, ANSYS and Teamcenter would be highly regarded.
