Streetworks Inspector
Location: Trafford, Tatton House, M23 9LF
Your New Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a key part of the Streetworks Team within Trafford Highways, undertaking inspection and enforcement of all 3rd party works undertaken on the highway network.
What you’ll do:
Assess sites using the relevant legislation to ensure compliance with SROH for Statutory Undertakers, checking reinstatement quality, site safety, and NRSWA compliance. This also includes approving traffic management proposals for any highway work, including footways and cycleways.
Follow up on defects, Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN), Section 74, and other enforcement procedures.
Coordinate complex works across boundaries with other Highway Authorities, including National Highways, TFGM, and Network Rail, to encourage collaborative working among all works promoters, ensuring One Trafford meets its Network Management Duty.
Process data related to roadwork inspections and coordination using Symology, GMRAPS, and Street Manager IT systems. Conduct site inspections as required under NRSWA and TMA.
Perform NRSWA Inspections, evaluate temporary traffic management drawings, and handle licences for skips, scaffolds, hoardings, tables, and chairs.
Manage Section 50 works, Section 115E licences, and sewer connections.
Work closely with Street works Coordinators and undertake enforcement actions, including processing Section 74 fines, FPNs, and Section 81 apparatus defects.
Carry out general administration duties related to street works coordination, including investigating and responding to enquiries, complaints, and queries What we can offer you:
