We are seeking a talented Lead Scientist with an expanding knowledge base and strong problem-solving abilities to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
1. Experimental Development: Perform and develop a wide range of experimental procedures with minimal supervision, applying technical knowledge to solve straightforward problems.
2. Laboratory Leadership: Lead multiple protocols independently and guide complex protocols under supervision. Responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory activities and ensuring high standards of quality.
3. Problem Solving: Apply problem-solving techniques to investigate quality issues, support root cause analysis, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
4. Data Management: Thoroughly check data for accuracy and compliance with Quality standards, conduct basic statistical analysis, and interpret experimental results.
5. Method Development: Contribute to the development and validation of methods and processes, ensuring they meet scientific and regulatory requirements.
6. Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of all work, preparing detailed reports, making proposals based on data analysis, and designing follow-up protocols to advance research.
7. Training & Mentorship: Provide training in scientific skills and processes to colleagues and team members, sharing expertise and contributing to knowledge transfer within the department.
8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement (CI) within the team, actively implement changes, and contribute to enhancing lab processes and workflows.
9. Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal teams, other departments, and external clients to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with organizational goals.
10. Workload Management: Prioritize and manage own workload, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard. Conduct regular reviews with the manager to ensure alignment with project or departmental goals.
11. Performance Accountability: Take responsibility for personal performance and results, with supervision, while developing mastery of key skills and techniques in your area of specialization.
12. Process Feedback: Provide constructive feedback on process improvements to optimize task execution, refine project progress, and support continuous learning.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. A degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
2. Experience in a laboratory environment with the ability to lead experimental protocols.
3. Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills, with a growing understanding of relevant scientific processes.
4. Experience with data analysis, including basic statistical techniques.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to train and mentor junior team members.
6. Knowledge of H&S and GMP regulations.
7. Experience in method development and validation is a plus.
