This is an exciting time to join a high performing and tenacious team committed to driving housing delivery working jointly with key stakeholders and public bodies including Homes England and the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.
The Strategic Manager, Housing Development post is a vital role within the Housing, Development and Growth Directorate undertaking a wide range of activities from managing a highly skilled team to advising senior management on progress on housing delivery, site audits and providing advice on the best means of achieving delivery of the opportunity sites within the agreed pipeline, making optimum use of the different delivery mechanisms and financial resources available to the Council.
The post holder amongst other responsibilities will also be accountable to the Board of Fortier (Property Development Company) and to lead and direct the company to deliver the Shareholder objectives.
This is therefore a great opportunity for an experienced housing development professional with strong people / programme management and communication skills.
Working jointly with internal and external stakeholders will be key to achieving delivery.
The applicant must be able to adapt to a changing environment and work under pressure with minimum supervision both in the office and from home.
