SENIOR PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST – pROJECTS AND SERVICES Role Duration - Permanent Location - Grangemouth (office based) About The Role The key requirements of this role are to: Lead on ensuring that Projects and Assets have the appropriate services framework agreements in place to deliver CAPEX, operating and maintenance plans. Deliver Category Management approach to delivering the Demand, Market, Strategy, Sourcing, Award and Contract Performance Management solutions sought by INEOS FPS in a Projects environment. Lead on continuous management of contracts post award performance and behaviours that maximize the value of work done for INEOS FPS, underpinned by effective commercial management Provide support and guidance to Procurement team in respect of current industry procurement best practice and behaviours Direct internal stakeholders in all aspects of supplier selection, evaluation and supplier risk management. The procurement function continues to transform and to support our ambitious plans – this role will help drive a number of improvement initiatives – this is a unique opportunity to further develop the procurement function What does the day to day look like? Provide support on pre-qualification/approval and risk status of suppliers to the project. Analyse spend information including market analysis and develop project procurement strategies. Responsible for all phases of contracting from market analysis, supplier pre-qualification, contract strategy writing, tendering process, contract negotiation, contract execution & administration and close out. Delivery in a Project Procurement environment of the Appraise, Select, Define and Execute stage gates ensuring that projects satisfy predetermined requirements. Negotiation of best possible legal and commercial terms in line with contracting priorities, and on post contract award commercial disagreements and tensions Engage regularly with key suppliers to build relationships and assist in the effective communication of supplier information across the business. Provide advice and guidance on procurement processes to the business, as required. Actively assist Procurement team with implementation of initiatives and continuous business improvement. Create and manage Key Performance Indicator’s for key suppliers. Carry out reviews and monitor cycle of Agreements, raising Amendments as necessary. Provide support to Procurement in preparation of reports for both function and assets. Undertake supplier management activity including performance reviews. Deputise for Procurement Manager when required both internally and externally. Actively network within the global INEOS procurement organisation to maximise group leverage opportunities and share best practice INEOS FPS has assets across Aberdeen, Dalmeny and Grangemouth, with infrequent travel requirements. what do I need? MCIPS qualified preferred or equivalent chartered membership or QS qualifications Significant previous procurement / commercial / sub-contractual experience in a large complex manufacturing environment and can demonstrate challenge to suppliers to deliver cost savings. Demonstrable Project Procurement expertise though the project lifecycle and strong commercial delivery on negotiation at pre and post contract award stage. Engineering and Design scope knowledge would be an advantage Excellent knowledge and understanding of NAECI, LOGIC forms of agreement and/or other industry recognised terms and conditions. Excellent negotiator drawing on clarifying wants, developed planning, bargaining, problem solving and closure behaviours to deliver successful outcomes. Knowledge and understanding of the services that deliver engineering, maintenance, integrity, construction, civils and related site based activities in the upstream and downstream energy markets. Deep understanding of cost drivers on contracts in order to demonstrate transparency and overall value. Full understanding of the End to End Category Management process that delivers compelling category strategies and long term value add contracting outcomes. Self-starter and comfortable with communications between engineers, planners, project managers, procurement specialists and suppliers. Good working knowledge and skills of MS Office tools including Excel, Word as well as SAP & Maximo, along with database analysis would be advantageous. Collaborative attitude, a team player and ability to influence at levels of the business. Expert, advanced negotiation skills and techniques.
