Senior Quantity Surveyor
About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This is an exciting time to come onboard, as you’ll play a key role in supporting our ambitious growth plans. You will work closely with one of our key construction clients in the region and take ownership of key procurement and commercial strategies across a range of diverse and high-profile projects.
In This Role, You Will:
* Receive and certify contractor payments
* Provide essential NEC contract administration support to Project Managers, including replying to compensation event notifications, agreement of compensation events, and using the contract administration system
* Compile monthly commercial dashboards, reporting on project performance
* Manage junior members of the commercial team and support their development
* Raise accruals and deliver all cost reporting required by the client prior to P6 closure
* Handle internal and external contract and commercial documents and queries, including claims
* Collaborate with Project Managers to prepare all necessary documentation
* Liaise with all external and internal stakeholders to ensure projects progress efficiently and on schedule
* Produce quality reports in a timely and professional manner, asking the right questions and offering sound judgment where needed
About You:
* Significant experience in quantity surveying, with a strong track record of managing complex and high-value contracts from a commercial perspective
* Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
* Professional qualification and/or membership of RICS, CIOB, ICES, or a relevant chartered institute (preferred but not essential)
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (intermediate/advanced level), and experienced in SAP
* Strong work ethic and commitment to producing impactful, high-quality outputs
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
* Confident working with all levels of senior management and presenting information clearly across different formats
* Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to make informed business decisions and report findings effectively to stakeholders
* Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships, including working directly with senior managers and executives
* Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities
