Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Macclesfield
Type: Temp to Perm
Salary: £95 – £115 per day (dependent upon experience)
About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at a specialised provision catering to students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The provision is located in the picturesque town of Macclesfield.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one support to students with challenging behaviour, helping them manage their emotions and develop coping strategies.
2. Implement behaviour intervention plans and support students in their academic and social activities.
3. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
4. Foster a safe and nurturing atmosphere where students can thrive.
Requirements:
5. Experience working with children or young adults with ASC or SEMH needs.
6. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
7. Patience, empathy, and resilience.
Qualifications:
8. Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
