Job summary
The Dermatology service is looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to deliver exceptional care for patients with chronic skin diseases.
You will work closely with, and be supported by the existing Clinical Nurse Specialists, medical team and work alongside the multidisciplinary teams.
The nursing team undertakes Nurse Led out-patient clinics including phototherapy, keloid and alopecia intralesional injections, patch testing and photodynamic therapy. The Clinical Nurse Specialist team currently help educate patients to better understand their skin disease to enable them to self-manage their skin condition, assess the psychological burden and assist in problem solving.
For the developmental post, the successful candidate will start at a band 5 and be expected to undertake a period of training, academic and professional development in order to progress to a Clinical Nurse Specialist Band 6 role. We would expect the competencies to be gained within a nine month period. The post holder will actively participate and agree a training needs analysis plan and fully engage in a developmental pathway.
