Procurement Director
£100,000 - £125,000 + great benefits package
Cambridge (Hybrid working 2-3 days in the office)
Our client, one of the best performing market leaders in the County, is looking to source a charismatic Qualified Procurement Director to set, implement and measure the strategic purchasing policy of the business, delivering a best in class procurement function.
The newly created position reflects ongoing growth, and the need to achieve operational efficiencies without negatively impacting product quality and service levels.
Key areas of focus will be:
1. Define and develop group procurement reporting, ensuring appropriate interrogation and analysis.
2. Provide clear performance measurement reporting and ensure appropriate controls are in place.
3. Support and challenge the Procurement team with their decision making, with the goal being the provision of relevant cost focused analysis and the interpretation of key performance and measurement indicators.
4. Manage 2-3 direct reports as well as a wider team of indirect team members.
5. Establish strong partnerships across all departments and professional rapport with multiple stakeholders (Finance, Legal, IT and Product development).
6. Develop transparent monthly reporting by product categories.
7. Transfer ownership of financial targets from procurement to business units ensuring savings are owned and realised.
8. Lead sourcing initiatives for product and professional services.
9. Develop collaborative long term partnerships with suppliers, contractors and service providers to ensure ongoing cost reductions.
