Activities and Well-being Lead – Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Location: Hampden Hall Care Centre, Tamarisk Way, Weston Turville, Aylesbury, HP 5ZB
Hourly rate: £. per hour
Shifts: 5 days a week, shifts based across Monday to Sunday, 8am to 5pm (includes a 1-hour unpaid break and alternate weekend working)

We are looking for a compassionate and pro-active Activities and Well-being Lead to join our family at Hampden Hall Care Centre. You will lead a team of well-being coordinators and be responsible for ensuring that our residents have the opportunity to take part in person-centred activity plans which support them in living life to the full. You will be a part of the leadership team of the care home and work collaboratively to provide exceptional care and support to our residents.

About the Role:
* Identify residents’ activity needs and wishes through discussion, assessment, and observation.
* Create and maintain a varied programme of group activities tailored to our residents’ individual needs, including group events and individual sessions, internal and external sources, and involving community-based resources.
* Organise outings and events based on local holidays, traditions, etc., giving consideration to safety needs and staffing requirements.
* Manage monthly activity budget for entertainment, materials, and outings in accordance with Company procedures.
* Ensure risk assessments have been carried out on all activities and outings and accurate records are maintained.
* Responsible for promoting the home through social media.
* Work closely with the Head Housekeeper and Unit Managers to maintain the community spaces so that they are fit for purpose and comfortable for our residents.
* Induct and welcome new activities staff to the team completing the Induction Check-list with them as required.
* Oversee and support all units in the Home to ensure that the activities staff are following the weekly activities programme.
* Attend the quarterly activities meeting with our activities staff from across the group. Share and discuss progress, goals, and challenges.
* Maintain a portfolio of evidence which showcases the work of the activities and well-being team focusing on the positive outcomes achieved for our residents.
* Assist the Home Manager in marketing the Home by showing potential residents, their families, and other visitors around the home as required, providing feedback to the Home Manager.
About you:

* An understanding of Health and Safety.
* An understanding of emotional, social, physical, psychological, and intellectual needs of vulnerable people.
* Ability to engage others in recreational activities and be able to deliver the highest standards of social and cultural activities to our residents.
* Previous experience in a similar position in a care home is desirable, however not essential.
* IT literate with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Be able to competently manage a social media account including preparing and making posts.
* Relevant qualifications such as QCF in Health & Social Care is desirable, however not essential.
