Maintain & improve Regional Safety Culture whilst delivering KPIs including Health & Safety, Operational Training & Compliance. Covering sites in Burscough, Sheffield and Kilsyth.
Why it’s an opportunity not to be wasted.
1. Ensure all areas of compliance and monthly KPIs are met, highlighting any variances between safety compliance requirements and operational responses.
2. Develop, implement and monitor action plans to redress variances.
3. Ensure that all Company policies and procedures and legal obligations are understood and adhered to by all members of the workforce.
4. Ensure that all safety and compliance levels are achieved and exceeded, delivering continuous improvement on all KPIs.
5. Supporting the Regional and Site Management team(s) to manage the workforce in the achievement of their daily and weekly tasks in a safe and compliant manner.
6. Ensuring all staff and third parties always comply with all Company Health and Safety procedures. Attendance at SIT meetings and reporting of key trends and statistical analysis to improve safety culture.
7. Maintain and develop excellent working relationships with the operational teams and develop the safety culture to improve operational safety observations, training, site safety management.
8. Plan and organise the efficient and effective use of resources to deliver key Safer Together projects across the region including (but not limited to) – Frontline Essentials, Divisional Induction standards, site pedestrian/plant/vehicle safety management, safety onboarding.
9. Assist and monitor in the maintenance of all records and systems for the safe and compliant operation of the Region.
10. Develop additional services/operational support team for the region.
11. Identify opportunities for continuous safety improvement within the Division and assist the Senior Management Team in their implementation.
12. Carry out any other such reasonable job-related tasks as the Company may require you to undertake from time to time.
Requirements

Essential:
13. IOSH
14. NEBOSH Certificate
15. Safety and Compliance Management experience in a fast paced heavily legislated work environment.
16. All areas of people management inc recruitment, staff development, training and performance management.
17. Up to date knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice.
18. Quality Management Procedures.
19. Excellent communication skills at all levels (clients, head office, supervisors and crews), both verbal and written with appropriate use of IT. Encourage feedback and act upon it.
20. Administration skills for planning workloads, scheduling, timesheets, client minutes, finance.
21. Excellent organisational skills.
22. Ability to work autonomously controlling contract budget and resources in the best interests of the Company.
Desirable:
23. COTC
24. NEBOSH Diploma
25. Previous experience within the resource/waste management sector, including Permitting.
26. Experience of hazardous working environments.
27. Experience of working with a unionised workforce.
28. Audit and Inspection procedures.
29. Risk Assessment procedures.
