Advert for Service Children’s Champion Role for the Brecon Cluster
We have an exciting opportunity for a new role in Brecon as part of a grant funded opportunity, you will based out of Ysgol Golwg Pen y Fan and support Service children and families across several schools that have Service children on role. As part of this role the schools want to provide personalised support for service children in our care. Our Armed Forces community is unique and diverse, and this role will support Service children with their personalised needs including: raising awareness of Service children’s needs,
building relationships, undertaking collaborative activities and learning, additional learning needs support and targeted support for service children as they transition in/out of our schools. You would be an advocate for service children as they transition, grow and develop during their time with us. This role will also involve liaising with Armed Forces agencies both local and the wider network to ensure a collaborative partnership to support the needs of Service children e.g. Little Troopers, SSCE Cymru, Reading Force and the Army Engagement Team. You will also work
closely with staff and parents and be under the supervision of a member of the senior leadership team.
