Project Manager Braintree – Hybrid Salary up to £65,000 Project Manager Responsibilities Oversee cross-functional teams of engineers and manufacturing staff to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Ensure consistent application of project management techniques and adherence to established processes. Lead by example, demonstrating how to achieve targets while mentoring and supporting junior team members. Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication, alignment, and successful execution of objectives. Develop detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project and publish them to the MS Project Server system. Plan and conduct Phase Gate Reviews at appropriate stages of projects, ensuring timely completion. Clearly define, document, and manage project scope in collaboration with customers, both internal and external. Identify risks, issues, and dependencies within projects, resolving them proactively to avoid escalation. Collaborate with the Finance Team to establish and monitor project budgets, using data such as schedule-derived ETCs and risk-adjusted cost exposure. Create project dashboards and present monthly status updates to the Senior Leadership Team. Work with Business Development, Engineering, and Programme Directors to develop technical and commercial solutions tailored to customer requirements. Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and practices. What are we looking for in a Project Manager? Significant experience in managing engineering projects across various lifecycle stages, with a particular focus on production. Proven ability to motivate and drive teams to meet critical deadlines and successfully deliver projects. Skilled in managing customer expectations and preventing scope creep. Strong knowledge of risk management principles and their application in project delivery. Excellent communication skills, able to convey ideas clearly and persuasively across all levels of the organisation. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions. Practical understanding of when to take ownership of tasks and when to escalate issues appropriately. Proficient in using project management and resource tools, such as MS Project, MS Project Server, or similar enterprise systems. Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
