Main duties of the job
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are their initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions, dealing with prescription enquiries, handling financial claims, managing patient records, and carrying out searches and practice audits.
About us
The practice started in 1977 with approximately 300 patients and grew very quickly, now having approximately 12,000 patients. Our clinical teams consist of 3 partners, 5 salaried GPs, 3 nurses, 1 HCA, and as we are a training practice, we have 4 registrars that rotate. We also have a supportive admin team of 4 and 11 receptionists.
We are committed to protecting children and vulnerable individuals, and we make their welfare our highest priority. Please refer to our privacy statement on our website: www.forestpractice.co.uk
