An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nurse to join our small anticoagulation specialist team, working full-time or part-time hours.
Main duties of the job
This is a key role carrying a level of responsibility along with a demanding workload and great opportunity. The successful candidate will:
* Provide a Nurse Led Anticoagulation Service offering advice and expertise within the area of anticoagulation.
* Provide a prescribing and advisory service for all oral and parenteral anticoagulants for inpatients and outpatients.
* Provide advice on all areas of anticoagulation therapy to colleagues and clients.
* Provide advice on all areas of Thromboprophylaxis to colleagues within the Trust.
It is an exciting opportunity for an independent Nurse prescriber to join our nurse team working either full-time or part-time hours. We value teamwork, mutual support and a friendly working environment. We are looking for an NMC registered independent prescriber with experience in anticoagulation therapy preferred but not essential as you will be supported with training and education.

* NMC registered
* Holds independent Nurse prescriber certificate
* Degree or diploma in nursing
* Management/team leading qualification
Experience and Knowledge
* Experience in anticoagulation dosing
* Management experience and/or experience of leading a team
Skills and abilities
* Broad knowledge base
* Ability to demonstrate evidence of applying theory to practice
* Ability to lead and work effectively within a team
* Good interpersonal skills which engender effective working relationships with staff
* Accurate document presentation and attention to detail with good IT skills

* Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
