Summary
From our Head Office to the shop floor and everywhere in between, our primary goal is to create and deliver a fantastic customer journey for everyone who shops at Lidl.
Are you customer-obsessed, energetic, and eager to learn every day?
If so, earn £348+ per week as a Customer Assistant on our standard 30-hour contract.
Your role will be varied, working across different shift times, tasks, and with different colleagues.
What does a typical day* as a Customer Assistant look like? (*there’s no such thing as ‘normal’ in retail, but we’ve outlined the main tasks!)
As a Customer Assistant, you are required to sell alcohol; therefore, you must be 18 or over to work in our store.
Shift Patterns:
* Morning shift: Starting at 5am or 6am, your role will be to stock our award-winning products on the shop floor and prepare bakery items for opening so customers can enjoy our full Lidl experience.
* Middle shift: Starting mid-morning or early afternoon, your role will involve maintaining store cleanliness, presenting products well, helping customers, and working on tills to reduce queues.
* Late shift: Starting in the afternoon, your role will be to serve customers with a smile, restock missing items, and prepare the store for the next day by following merchandising principles before closing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner
* Follow stock loss control procedures
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
* Apply freshness and rotation principles
* Manage waste correctly
* Assist in stock counting
Qualifications and Skills:
* Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
* Willingness to go the extra mile
* Responsible and reliable
* Enjoy working in a fast-paced, varied environment
* Good team player
* Previous customer-facing experience is preferred but not essential if you have the right attitude
