Role : UK Retail Manager Location : Field-based (2 days in HQ, Solihull) The Lounge team is growing We are looking for a UK Retail Manager to lead on building our retail presence and grow our omnichannel strategy. You will support us by managing new store launches, running daily operations once open, and working closely with different stakeholders to really bring our IRL presence to the next level. What you will do at Lounge: You will work closely and report to HQ teams such as Operations, People, Customer, Merchandising, Brand and Finance to deliver all of the below points. Operations: Work with our Brand Team to develop ideation of VM themes and implementation of this within our network of stores Build relationships with Retail teams around procedures and sign-off of VM campaigns Drive the in-store VM strategy in line with the wider brand campaign strategy and product releases Have a keen eye for detail with an analytical mind in respect to product performance in store. Feedback changes and implement this with the merchandising team Set and drive KPIs within our store environment, benchmarking figures and driving operational and performance growth in line with these. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimise operational efficiency. Maintain effective communication channels between the retail team, HQ team, and other relevant departments. Develop and implement standardised operating procedures to ensure consistent and efficient store operations. Team Management: Foster effective communication and collaboration between the retail team and HQ teams including People, Operations, Merchandising, Customer, Marketing, Finance, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment and shared goals to drive retail initiatives. Serve as a liaison between different teams, translating strategic objectives into actionable plans, and ensuring effective implementation at the operational level. Actively seek feedback and input from HQ, fostering an environment of open communication and continuous improvement. Ensure all stores comply with company policies and procedures. Set performance goals and objectives for the team, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement. Develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, ensuring consistent execution of operational processes across all stores. Inventory Management: Collaborate with the Merchandising and Supply Chain teams to optimise inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock availability while minimising overstock and stockouts in all stores. Implement inventory control measures, including regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation procedures to maintain accurate inventory records. Identify and reduce potential risks to managing inventory. Financial Management: Work closely with the CCO & Finance Team to develop and manage budgets, analyse financial reports, and control operational costs. Identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost reduction, and operational optimisation, and develop action plans to achieve financial targets. Work with each Head of Store to monitor and analyse sales data, pricing strategies, and market trends to make informed business decisions and drive profitability. We would love it if you: Have proven experience in Retail Management, preferably in a multi-store environment. Have strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team. Have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify operational inefficiencies and implement effective solutions. Have a solid understanding of inventory management and experience in managing inventory across multiple locations. Have strong organisational and time management skills. Are proficient in using retail management software and technology tools. Have up-to-date knowledge of retail industry trends, customer behaviour, and best practices. Are flexible and can work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
