Your future duties and responsibilities
As a GIS Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of cutting-edge geospatial solutions for our clients and help shape the development of CGI's own geospatial IP. You'll bring a combination of hands-on technical ability, stakeholder engagement expertise and a deep understanding of geospatial technologies.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing bespoke geospatial solutions for our clients
- Leading the creation of solution design documentation
- Engaging with stakeholders and customers throughout design and delivery phases
- Capturing and refining both technical and business requirements
- Contributing to bid creation and supporting new business opportunities
- Leading teams across multiple workstreams, including tasking and supporting developers
- Driving innovation in CGI's geospatial capability
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Strong experience in geospatial solution design and architecture
- Hands-on software development background with geospatial tools and technologies
- Excellent stakeholder and customer engagement skills
- Experience producing technical documentation and solution designs
- Ability to manage and lead technical teams across delivery streams
- Strong understanding of both technical and business requirements
- Familiarity with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar
- Experience working within government or public sector environments (desirable)
