Our treasured spaces are cosy, intimate places to reconnect.
Our natural warmth is relaxed, but still professional.
We are our guests' loyal friend: trustworthy and familiar.
Rufflets is a stunning hotel set in ten acres of manicured gardens. Our discerning guests choose us because they know that they will receive the best service and you will feel the difference as soon as you step through the front door.
The Rufflets experience is completely unique, and our team are essential to this, from check-in to check-out and beyond. Our people are big-hearted and generous in their attention, and our guests know that we will always go the extra mile to make their time with us extra-special.
As well as the hotel operation, including 26 unique bedrooms and self-catering lodges and dining areas, we also take care of an award-winning events business in our function rooms, so there’s never a dull moment.
The Role
This is a full-time position for an experienced bar professional who enjoys variety in their day. As well as taking charge of drinks service in the main hotel bar, you'll be kept busy taking care of guests in our outdoor spaces and in our event rooms. We're looking for someone who can move seamlessly from espresso martinis on the terrace, to checking in hotel guests, to serving hundreds of glasses of Champagne to wedding guests.
Good knowledge of wines, whiskies, gins and cocktails is desirable, as is an enthusiasm to share that knowledge with guests and colleagues. Future training opportunities will be available to help you extend your expertise.
Confidence in delivering an exceptional guest experience is key. The ideal candidate will live and breathe customer service at the highest level, and will be unflappable when they are called upon to go the extra mile.
Minimum Requirements
At least two years’ bar experience working in a four/five-star hotel or restaurant setting is essential.
