About the Role

You will be an integral part of our team reporting directly to the Director and will be responsible for servicing a portfolio of clients from bookkeeping, VAT and accounts preparation.

Key Responsibilities
* Undertaking bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns for your clients.
* Preparation of sole trader, partnership, company/LLP accounts, tax returns, VAT returns.
* Liaising with clients to resolve queries.
* Presenting statutory year-end accounts and tax returns for manager review.
* Assisting with the setting up of clients on Xero and any associated apps.
Person specification
Essential
* ACA/ACCA/AAT part-qualified
* Minimum of 3 years experience in an accountancy practice
* Working knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT, statutory accounts and management accounts.
* An interest or relevant experience with cloud accounting systems and associated apps (e.g. Xero, Dext, Futrli etc.).
* Good knowledge of main accounting systems in the marketplace (e.g. Xero, Quickbooks, Sage etc.)
* Good attention to detail and time management skills.
* Demonstrate good listening and questioning skills in dealing with clients.
* Ability to work to deadlines.
* Ability to communicate openly and build up excellent relationships with clients.
