Our Housing Related Support (HRS) accommodation is for young people across Ipswich – providing supported housing for single 16 to 21-year-olds for up to two years. An exciting opportunity has arisen within our HRS Accommodation team as an Assistant Accommodation Project Worker. You will work with a small case load of young people, providing support and encouraging young people to gain the skills and knowledge they will need to maintain independent accommodation after resettlement by working through a personalised support plan. This will include working with the Project workers to complete assessments, key working and teaching life skills. To maintain high standards of supervision and support to create an environment that is homely, welcoming, and safe in which clients can engage and develop. Skills and Experience In summary, the successful applicant will have the following qualities: Experience of working with young people with complex needs, although not necessarily in a housing context A good understanding of partnership working with external agencies and internal services. A good understanding of Housing Benefit and other benefits preferred. Ability to write reports, keep case notes and client records. Able to work evenings and weekends, including public holidays on a rota basis. Hold a full driving licence and have access to a car.
