Job overview
We are recruiting for a Pharmacist Advanced (Aseptics and Cancer Services) who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will work alongside a fantastic multidisciplinary team to provide an excellent level of service to Cancer patients in the Lister Macmillan Cancer Centre. You will utilise your clinical knowledge to deliver an excellent level of pharmaceutical care to these patients.
Being driven and adaptable are essential characteristics for this role as there is a unique opportunity to work with the MDT and local networks to develop an innovative and sustainable care model. You will use your non-medical prescribing qualification to optimise individual patients’ drug therapies.
You will be supported to develop your leadership and management skills.

Main duties of the job
1. Provide a specialist and patient-focused pharmacy service to the Lister Macmillan Cancer Centre (LMCC) whilst based across PMU and LMCC on a rotational basis.
2. Be an active member of both the PMU team and the LMCC team to help meet the overall strategic objectives of the teams in the provision of pharmaceutical care for cancer patients.
3. Provide expert advice on oncology pharmacy issues including clinical, funding, and prescribing issues.
4. Support Lister Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit in order to provide an efficient service to LMCC and other clients.

Person specification
Qualifications/Training
* Masters Degree MPharm
* Registered with the GPhC as a pharmacist
* Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice
* Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent (completed both year 1 and year 2)
* Qualified and registered as a non-medical prescriber (or working towards completion of NMP qualification)
* Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
Previous Experience
* Post qualification experience in hospital pharmacy
* Post qualification experience in hospital pharmacy aseptic services
* Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Experience in providing clinical services to cancer patients
* Project management and report writing
* Management of staff
* Experience of Audit, research and development
* Previous use of chemotherapy electronic prescribing system
* Experience of WellSky dispensing system
