We are recruiting for an Emergency Medical Technician - ED who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will be trained to achieve a high level of practical skills for
use within the Emergency Department. On completion of your training
programme it is anticipated that you will be capable of undertaking the
following duties: Baseline Observations, Application of Support/Splintage, Cardiac Monitoring, Venepuncture, BLS, Wound Care & Suturing.

Assisting the nursing staff in maintaining a safe environment and delivering a high standard of patient care.
Base line observations, Application of support/splintage, Cardiac monitoring, Venepuncture, Basic Life Support of the adult (including automated external defibrillation) and child. Wound toilet and suturing, Techniques of wound closure.
This role will require working across Lister A&E and UCC at QEII
To be fully conversant with a wide range of Health and Safety issues.
In addition to the various clinical skills Technicians will be expected
to learn the basic layout and the functioning of the medical
equipment
