Located in Solihull
Salary of £23,000 (unqualified) to £24,000 (qualified), plus sleep-in shifts are paid at an additional £60 per sleep.
Our successful Residential Support Worker will need to possess the following skills and attributes:
1. Previous experience in children’s care home roles is essential.
2. Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
3. Familiarity with residential care principles is beneficial.
4. Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young Peoples Workforce), or a willingness to work towards this.
5. Ability to work shifts and sleep in the home overnight.
6. Must have valid Right to Work in the UK.

As a Residential Care Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
1. Working and supporting children and young people to create positive outcomes and promote independence.
2. Direct practical interactions with children and young people including play, activities, cooking, personal care, engaging with the wider community, supporting educational and health needs.
3. General house duties and maintenance.
4. Completing health and safety checks.
5. Budgeting.
6. Keyworking.
7. Advocacy.
8. Behaviour management.
9. Working to a high standard in line with OFSTED inspection framework requirements, Children’s Homes Regulations and the Quality Care Standards.
10. Engage in planning and implementation of care plans.
11. Adhering to individual risk assessments.
12. Working in partnership with other agencies.
13. Report writing and attending reviews as required.
