An MEP Project Manager is required at a well-established Mechanical & Electrical company, to oversee the mechanical and electrical aspects of a high-profile construction project in Southwest London. Start Date: Mid March (Pre-construction phase for 6 weeks) Project Duration: 40 weeks Salary: £75,000 per annum Working Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Oversee resource management, including labour, equipment, and materials, ensuring timely delivery and compliance. Enforce health and safety policies, conduct inspections, and provide training to maintain a safe work environment. Implement quality control measures, conduct inspections, and address any quality issues promptly. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, providing regular updates. Manage changes in scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring transparency and tracking all modifications. Monitor project expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure adherence to the budget. Anticipate and resolve project challenges, making timely decisions to keep the project on track. Conduct daily site inspections, update schedules, and lead debrief meetings to address issues and provide direction. Oversee subcontractor packages, manage design elements, and ensure proper documentation and tracking. Attend client and internal meetings, review variation claims, and issue weekly progress reports.Qualifications and Skills: SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) required NVQ Level 6 Relevant trade qualifications First Aid certification (Preferred) Proven experience in managing large M&E projects with a strong understanding of project life cycles Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and clients effectively. Strong understanding of health and safety protocols in construction environments.
