As a Night Auditor at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel you look after this extraordinary hotel through the night. You are responsible for guest check-ins, operating the telephone switchboard station, responding to and resolving guest requests, running daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identifying any special requests, and checking reports for accuracy.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on responsibility and driving guest satisfaction through excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Knowledge of hotel rates, daily selling strategy, discounts and handling of reservation queries.
* Serving guests by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations while building a continuing relationship and loyalty to Marriott.
* Ensuring the accuracy and completion of all folios, room changes, and credit approval.
* Ensuring a quick, efficient, and friendly check-in and departure of all guests.
* Complying with unit cash handling and credit policies and procedures as well as understanding the banking procedures.
* Being responsible for all payment transactions on the shift and reporting any discrepancies.
* Completing daily checklist tasks.
* Providing information to guests about outlets, staff and services, including hours of operation, room locations, types of room, and room rates.
* Complying with the room selling strategies, cancellation procedures, and walk procedures.
* Operating the switchboard and dealing with messages and enquiries when required, in an efficient and professional manner.
* Being fully aware of the Accident Reporting Procedure, Maintenance Fault Procedure, and Fire Policy.

* Previous Opera Experience preferred.
* Preferably a Personal License Holder and First Aid Certificate Holder.
