X-ray Scientist for Security Imaging Development

About the Role:
This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experimental X-ray scientist to join our team, designing new technologies for X-ray and CT imaging in the security market.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop X-ray sources to enhance image quality and threat detection capabilities.
* Collaborate with the Senior X-ray Scientist and contribute to technology development.
* Contribute to the design of key tube subsystems, such as electron guns and anode design.
* Assemble and experimentally validate new tube developments.
* Analyze data, interpret results, and refine designs based on findings.
* Work collaboratively within the Engineering team to support new imaging technologies.
* Support production and manufacturing engineering teams to transfer proven technologies into production.
Candidate Requirements:
* Postgraduate experience in experimental radiation physics.
* Experience in ultra-high vacuum and high voltage is advantageous.
* Strong experimental skills, including complex experiment design and execution.
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and collaborate effectively.
* Familiarity with X-ray dosimetry and shielding is beneficial.

$90,000 - $120,000 per year
