The School of Social and Political Sciences seeks to appoint a Lecturer at Grade 7 or 8.
Together with the John Smith Centre, the University of Glasgow is set to establish a groundbreaking annual tracker survey of youth public opinion across the United Kingdom. The aim is for the poll to become a major new feature in the UK’s political landscape. A new academic role will be created to lead the development and delivery of this poll. In collaboration with the John Smith Centre Director, the successful candidate will co-design and manage the Youth Poll project, including survey questions, data collection, data analysis and reporting. The poll will be co-produced annually by University of Glasgow students as part of a new course option which the successful applicant will design and establish. There is also future scope to develop both PGT components and employability options rooted in the data collection, design and communication process.
For appointment at Grade 8, in addition to the teaching, administration, communication and external engagement of this survey, the successful applicant will take part in wider scholarship activities designed to enhance learning and teaching in the School of Social and Political Sciences.
Grade 7/8, £40,247 - £45,163 / £49,250 - £56,921 per annum
