The enterprise architecture team is responsible for the design and documentation of key systems and processes within NCFE. The team consists of experts in various disciplines, with this role needing to provide insight and expertise on applications and system processes. As Applications Solutions Architect, you'll have an opportunity to shape and define application architecture decisions and implementations within the organisation. This role is a crucial component of the Enterprise Architecture team, and will allow you to provide expertise and insight in all application functionality, preferred technologies and software development approach. How youll make an impact: Setting standards, principles, policies & designs for all application architecture within the organisation, aligning with the wider enterprise architecture vision and strategy Driving the adoption of new processes, techniques and technologies into the software delivery teams and ensuring theyre adequately equipped to adopt this change Supporting Information Security, Software Delivery and Support teams in designing and implementing robust application solutions Creating and maintaining documentation pertaining to application designs, system interoperability and acceptable technologies across the NCFE estate Wed love to hear from you if you offer the following: Experience with Azure Integration Services and designing Microsoft 365 and Azure-based solutions, as well as working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies such as CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and DevOps. Ability to work autonomously, proactively identifying areas where you think you can make the most impact Previous experience in software development and design, working alongside other technical teams Ability to challenge the status quo, whilst providing alternative approaches and solutions that can be communicated to technical teams and key stakeholders Knowledge and experience working in the educational sector alongside a regulatory framework Excellent stakeholder engagement skills including the ability to influence other key stakeholders Feeling inspired?
