Job Summary: We are seeking a Group Finance Manager to work in our Head Office in Loughton, Essex. The role includes managing the Accounts Department, overseeing financial accounting activities, and coordinating management accounts and monthly reports.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management Accounts: Use Sage Accounts to its fullest extent for postings, journals, and reports. Oversee financial accounting activities and accurately reflect money coming in and out of the company.
* Cash Flow Forecasting: Manage rolling cash flow forecasts and prepare monthly cash flow reports, KPIs, and budgets.
* General Accountancy: Liaise with key stakeholders, assist the Group Bursar with salaries, and monitor school budgets.
* School Fees Administration: Support the administration of fee invoices and schedules, and handle parental queries.
* Credit Control Administration: Support the collection of fees, process payments, and chase fee payments as necessary.
* VAT Returns: Produce accurate VAT records and submit monthly VAT Returns within HMRC expected timeframes.
Person Specification:
* Essential:
o ACA/ACCA or equivalent fully qualified or near-fully qualified.
o Extensive knowledge of local laws, taxes, licenses, finance, and accounting practices.
o Experience in a finance environment working with management accounts.
o Advanced knowledge of Sage Accounts.
o Advanced MS Excel skills.
* Desirable:
o Proven leadership skills.
o Accounting/finance degree.
