Building on Norfolk County Council's highly successful Ofsted inspection and the launch of our new School and Community teams & Family Hubs approach, we have a temporary opportunity to join our Communities and Partnerships Team in the West to provide maternity cover. We want children, young people, and their families in Norfolk to receive support at the earliest opportunity so that they can FLOURISH. By acting together, as a prevention and early help system, we can enable more families to receive the right support, at the right time. This new model will mean we can build on the fantastic work already taking place, building skills and capacity to ensure we support children, young people, and families at the earliest opportunity. Family Hubs will work predominantly with those families that require early help. The teams’ working practices will be rooted in our core ways of working and vital signs through relationship-based practice using Signs of Safety, Solihull, Communities of Practice, Joint Agency Group Supervision, Restorative working and Family Networking. About the role: Due to the current post holder taking maternity leave we are seeking an experienced Early Help Coordinator on a temporary basis to join the team in King's Lynn at our public facing site 5 days per week. You will be required to: · Work alongside Managers to support the decision making that leads to supportive responses to children & families. Exploring where Social Care or Universal Services can play a role in supporting a family or team around that family through an Early Help Assessment and Plan (EHAP) and Family Networking Approach. · Work in partnership with a range of organisations across Family Hubs, from education and health providers, to district councils and voluntary sector groups to coordinate seamless support pathways for children, young people and families. · Ensure connection between services in ways that make sense for children and families, joining up pathways so that they only need to tell their story once and their service experience is smoother and more aligned. Day to day you will be triaging cases, conducting cases discussions, allocating work, making calls to families and partner agencies and modelling good practice to the EH Advisers. It is essential that you have a high level of competency and confidence using case load management systems and managing work using Outlook and Excel spreadsheets.
