Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client regarding this permanent position.
This is an exciting chance to join our busy client based in Doncaster who is looking to add to their Stock and Stores team. This role will report into the Stores Manager.
Key Tasks
1. Administer and run full Stock Control, including ordering regularly stocked items like electrical and fitting consumables, stock movements in or out, reporting any shortfalls or faults on the same day, regular checking of stock levels, full stock taking procedures, product knowledge, administering and checking the stock control system, and liaising with all departments and systems related to this process. Maintain acceptable stock levels agreed with the Finance department.
2. Make available stock relating to field work and return field stock to customers as required.
3. Liaise with project purchaser and workshop to prepare stock requirements.
4. Provide all equipment and consumables to workshop engineers for the next day’s work, ensuring engineers are not awaiting supplies during their working day.
5. Be aware of health and safety requirements and procedures.
6. Record and store internal stock movements.
7. Control stock held by the Machine Shop.
8. Maintain cleanliness, waste, and recycling in the workshop operations area.
9. Organise subcontract work required for products, arranging dispatch and accepting returns while ensuring relevant quality checks are observed.
10. Process any returns or faulty goods, liaising with suppliers and the accounts department to obtain replacements or credits.
11. Package goods for dispatch safely and securely, ensuring correct paperwork and labeling.
12. Maintain and store stock in a safe manner, adhering to designated stock areas and COSHH safety data for storage and use, while keeping the area clean and tidy.
13. Observe recycling and waste disposal policies of the Company.
14. Manage and train staff to complete all indicated tasks and conduct all health and safety duties for stock area and movement through the premises safely.
15. Conduct month-end processes for stock valuation.

Hours of work: Work is carried out on a rota system of 8 hours per day, with start and finish times between 6:30am and 5pm, Monday - Friday - 40 hours per week.
