About the Role:
Situated in our client esteemed Cambridge office, this role entails serving as a Senior Electrical Engineer within the Cambridge multi-disciplinary MEP engineering team. Responsibilities encompass designing and delivering electrical solutions across diverse sectors, spanning RIBA stages 0 to 7. Our objective is to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions that truly meet client needs while harmonising seamlessly with architecture and structure.
Senior Electrical Engineers lead complex electrical designs, managing junior resources and liaising directly with clients, design teams, contractors, and stakeholders. They typically report to Principal Engineers and/or Directors, assuming overall project responsibility.
Moreover, Senior Electrical Engineers offer support and expertise to colleagues, contributing to the training and development of junior engineers. They also aid the central electrical team in upholding the highest standards of electrical design.

About You:
With a minimum of 6 years experience in electrical design for a UK-based MEP consultancy, you possess a comprehensive understanding of electrical design. You're self-motivated and thrive under pressure.
Strong people management skills are vital, along with a keen desire to communicate and collaborate effectively internally and externally. You're expected to contribute positively to the team and wider practice, demonstrating the ability to prioritise varied workloads.
You're confident in client and collaborator interactions, with proven experience leading the planning and delivery of electrical designs on MEP projects. This includes managing resources, addressing technical issues, and independently generating and refining ideas.
Ideally holding a relevant degree qualification, you're preferably chartered or ready to apply for chartered status. Experience with digital design tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and Amtech is advantageous.
