This is an exciting opportunity for a highly focused and driven individual to join a busy, modern and expanding Legal 500 law firm. Bright Solicitors is a Plymouth-based firm serving the local community, but also working for clients nationally. We are looking for committed administrative support within our specialist Private Client Department.
The successful applicant will need to support the team’s case handlers by performing clerical and administrative work. No previous experience is required and training will be provided.
Working Hours:
We are looking for a candidate to work part-time with flexible hours on offer — 22 hours per week, with Mondays being essential. However, we are open to considering a full-time role for the right candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm, capability, and a strong fit for the team.

This role is predominantly computer-based within an office environment, so an understanding of computers and an ability to pick up new software systems is critical.
The successful applicant will be expected to be customer-facing when needed and have a confident demeanour when communicating with all parties. The ideal candidates will be happy to take on a variety of tasks without complaint, work effectively as part of a team and have the ability to pick up tasks and terminology effectively.
Depending on experience and qualifications this role could involve time-sensitive progression routes within the firm.
Some level of office-based administrative experience is preferable.
Key Tasks Include:
* Handle administrative tasks efficiently, guided by fee earners.
* Support fee earners with file-opening, phone management, document production.
* Draft documents and bills using templates and precedents, ensuring accuracy and alignment with instructions.
* Assist with legal processes, such as managing cases through portals, gathering documentation, arranging meetings, coordinating funding, liaising with courts, completing forms, and processing payments.
* Communicate professionally with clients via phone, email, letter, and face-to-face interactions.
* Deliver exceptional client service at all times.
* Provide business development and marketing support, including booking venues, arranging refreshments, coordinating specialists, and preparing presentation materials and marketing documents.
* Record time for all work where possible.
Knowledge & Skills Development:
* Gain hands-on experience in legal administrative processes and client management.
* Develop a strong understanding of private client services, including wills, probate, and estate planning.
* Receive regular training and mentoring from experienced fee earners to enhance legal knowledge and administrative skills.
* Build confidence in using legal case management software and online portals.
