Here at Bower Mount Medical Practice, we are looking to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic individual to support patients and clinicians as a receptionist/administrator.
Main duties of the job
The role would include welcoming and helping patients at our reception desk, dealing with patients contacting the Practice via telephone, handling online triage requests, and supporting the Practice with other administrative tasks.

Job responsibilities
Job Summary:
Provision of efficient reception service for patients and clinicians.
Liaison with outside agencies and services on behalf of patients and clinicians.
Triage patients as per practice protocols and guidelines.
Support other team members to ensure that workload is fairly covered and shared.
Answer telephone calls quickly and efficiently as per practice guidelines and protocols.
Deal with administrative tasks to support the Practice in delivering high quality patient services.
Key Tasks may include:
1. Answer incoming telephone calls to the Practice.
2. Check patients in for appointments.
3. Manage emails sent to the practice's generic email address.
4. Understand and use the EMIS clinical system as per practice guidelines.
5. Handle patient queries and requests.
6. Manage patient registrations/deductions and associated admin.
7. Deal with TASKS on EMIS and Anima.
8. Process LRU referrals.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE in Maths and English A-C grade, or equivalent.
* NVQ in Customer Service.
Experience
* Experience of working in a customer service environment.
* Experience of working in General Practice is beneficial.
Required skills
* Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
* Adaptable to change.
* Organisational skills.
* Competency in using IT.
* Able to work at pace with a focus on accuracy.
* Knowledge of EMIS, Docman, and other clinical systems.
