About The Role
At EKFB we're shaping Infrastructure for a better tomorrow. All four of our partners (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM) bring specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing, and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe's latest high-speed rail projects.
We're currently looking for Head of IT to join our Routewide team based in Milton Keynes.
In this role, you will work alongside, oversee and manage the delivery from 3rd party contractors including Advania, Trellisworks, Vodafone and act as a technical reviewer and approver for ITIL change management process. With a good technical oversight of the estate, you will be able to understand and potentially flag any issues.
You will help to coordinate and prioritise work in the event of serious situations (e.g. network outages, data loss), put robust processes in place and create document archive to streamline delivery. Part of this role is involvement in business systems projects to provide technical input/oversight and maintain with key partners (Advania, Vodafone, HS2), IT asset management procedures to include hardware and software.
You will oversee the mobilisation/demobilisation of the construction sites and offices, touchpoint and escalation point for the business and Man-mark the Trellisworks PM and direct Advania local support staff. You will also respond to the needs of the temporary works requirement of the project and timeline planning to account for business needs vs connectivity needs (i.e. interdependent connections via line of site).
In addition, you will look to repurpose equipment as sustainably as possible, plan for a hardware refresh dependent on project timelines, mobile phone compliance lifecycle and planned replacement, work with key business contacts to order and provide correct hardware for business needs and manage and scale Office 365 applications according to the business needs.

* Extensive experience in IT Project Management
* Experience in migration of infrastructure and systems
* You must have working knowledge of construction projects
* Understanding of cost and time
* Enthusiastic in your approach and have clear communication skills to be able to liaise with a wide range of people and teams.
* Driving licence is required for this role
