Sister/charge Nurse - Band 6 - 36 Hours
An opportunity has arisen to join our busy critical care as a band 6 sister/charge nurse.
We are a 9 bedded unit, caring for level 2 and 3 patients and we engage closely with the north west critical care network. We provide the highest care to our patients and you will be responsible for ensuring this care is maintained, as a team leader and a support to the band 7 sister/charge nurse.

JOB SUMMARY
• Act as a clinical team leader assuming accountability for managing, co-ordinating and supervising the total service provided within the Critical Care Unit for level 2 and level 3 care patients.
• To assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Always act in a manner consistent with the NMC Code of professional Conduct and to carry out his/her duties in accordance with the trust and unit policies, guidelines and procedures.
• Develop and implement local policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Participate fully as a member of the critical Care Unit management team.
Team leading and management of a busy critical care unit caring for level 2 and 3 adult patients and ensuring their safety. Supervising juniors and learners and working within a large multi disciplinary team. Upholding good practice, safe guidelines and hospital policies and ensuring they are adhered to.
