Position Overview:
Deliver professional and collaborative employee services throughout the employment lifecycle and oversee the daily operations of the department. Provide guidance on policies, procedures and operational functions to employees and managers. Ensure compliance with government mandated programs, proactively identify areas of concern, and provide solutions. Achieving success in this role involves building a reputation for proactive, professional, and approachable internal customer service, as well as providing innovative recommendations to enhance current systems.
Responsibilities Summary:
Support Employment Lifecycle:
Deliver HR services for the employee lifecycle including, but not limited to, job description reviews, salary range recommendations, HR policies and special projects. Collaborate with HR leadership and assist, as needed, on employee relations matters. Maintain and update HR systems with employee changes. Assist in development, recommendation and, if approved, implementation of personnel policies and procedures. Provide generalist support and provide backup support for payroll and onboarding processes within assigned region. Assist learning and development with reviewing and recommending course content.
Research and Implementation:
Maintain and create efficiencies in the employee documentation life cycle. Research and recommend improvements for system integrations and reducing manual HR forms and documentation. Build and generate requested monthly reports. Support OKR Achievements and assist with change management initiatives.
Regulatory and Compliance Programs:
Maintain legal awareness and monitor employment, benefits and health and safety regulatory requirements and compliance programs. Generate reports and submit documentation for government and internal audits. Partner with legal department to monitor and research changes in laws and regulations that impact employee service departments.
Qualifications:
1. 5+ years of HR generalist experience
2. Bachelor’s Degree in related field or additional equivalent work experience
3. US based: SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
Willingness to travel domestically as needed: Less than 10%
