We hope that this is the job you have been waiting for - this is an opportunity for an experienced Headteacher or an ambitious senior leader to play a leading and dynamic role in the education of children at Highfield South Farnham School. Highfield is an Ofsted 'Outstanding' (2024) Primary and Nursery school that stands on an attractive two-acre site sitting in the south of Farnham. The school opened in February 2015 as part of South Farnham Educational Trust, welcoming pupils in the age range 3-11 years and is thriving with 468 children. The stimulating learning environment includes a well-equipped library, a music studio including three small group learning rooms, and food technology area. A multi-purpose hall, used daily, offers a full range of gymnastic apparatus and performance space. The two acres of play area include grassed sports fields, an AstroTurf area, EYFS playground, a netball court and purpose built outside classroom surrounded by woodland. You couldn’t ask for more The vacancy arises due to the retirement of the current Headteacher after 10 years. We strongly recommend a visit to the school to meet our wonderful children and staff and to find out more about this exciting opportunity. South Farnham Educational Trust is a growing cross-phase Trust consisting of 10 ten schools, a Teaching School Hub and thriving SCITT. Having Outstanding teacher training and professional development within our family brings great support and opportunity as part of our recruitment and retention strategy. As the Headteacher of Highfield you will shape and drive the school’s ethos and strategic direction whilst delivering the Trust’s commitment to ‘the continual pursuit of excellence’. The vision and purpose of the Trust is: • To create a group of schools that have a shared commitment to ensuring the highest possible outcomes for their children. • Through close co-operation children, parents and teachers will share professional expertise, training opportunities and facilities to ensure that the whole is greater than the part. • To create a learning environment where the highest possible standards are a feature of all schools. • To establish a shared understanding of what works and a reflective, research-based approach to school improvement. • To celebrate and develop the uniqueness of each school within the MAT family of schools.
