I am seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Quality Manager to oversee all aspects of food safety within my clients Technical department based in Birmingham. This role is instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of food safety and compliance across site.\n\nClient Details\n\nOur client is a well-established organisation in the food manufacturing sector. Operating from Birmingham, they are a respected player in their industry, delivering products to both national and international markets.\n\nDescription\n\nHACCP Member\nTo review and up-date the Quality System that complies with all standards required by the regulatory authorities.\nTo support the continuous improvement of a good Food Safety Culture, and the Food Safety Business Plan\nKey responsibilities include managing the day-to-day duties including the Technical Team and supporting being audit ready\nat all times\nCorrective actions are put in place to ensure technical integrity and standards are maintained at all times\nTo work in partnership with a range of high-profile customers, ensuring and promoting best practice\nReacting and pro-actively planning for technical demands that arise as the sites grow\nMonitor compliance against all legal entities.\nCo- Supporting customer visits and complaints (root cause analysis, trending, interface with customers). Lead or deputise\nwhen the Group Technical Manager is not on site.\nMaintain the specification database and highest quality standards are met through robust quality practices\nMonitor the quality and safety aspects of purchased products\nTo provide technical assistance to the product development team\nTo liaise with operations and ensure compliance with good housekeeping KPI's\nTo contribute fully to the continuous improvement in business performance as a member of the Senior Management Team\nSupport the internal auditing management system\nSetting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved\nAssessing the product specifications of the company and its suppliers, and comparing with customer requirements\nEnsuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation\nSetting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures\nObserving technical staff in carrying out tests and checks\nMentoring positive change to employees to incorporate improved quality methods\nEstablishing standards of service for customers or clients\nRoot Cause Analysis mentality for internal close out of raised non-conformancesProfile\n\nA successful Food Safety Compliance Manager/Quality Manager should have:\n\nIdeally, A recognised qualification in Food Science, Microbiology or a related field.\nExperience in a similar role within Food Manufacturing\nProfound knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.\nExcellent communication and leadership skills.\nAbility to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.\nStrong decision-making and problem-solving skills.Job Offer\n\n£37,000\nOpportunities for professional development and career progression.\nA supportive and inclusive work environment.\nGenerous holiday leave and benefits package.\nThe chance to make a significant impact in a large FMCG organisation
