Located – Northampton
Salary - £30,980 - £42,545 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience
starting ASAP or January start
Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity to work with an independent school based in Northampton. The school has pupils aged 11-19 for small group and individualised learning, focusing on social and emotional development. Concentrating on building strong and trusting relationships between staff and pupils forming the foundation for success.
The school are looking for a Head of science who is passionate and dedicated to get students highly motivated within this specialism.
Responsibilities
* Undertake subject teaching responsibility and ensure all pupils develop their knowledge and skills and make good progress in their learning
* Work with the Head Teacher and Leadership team to deliver a sequenced curriculum which builds knowledge and skills towards agreed end points
* Effectively monitor the progress of each pupil, checking their understanding systematically and effectively, putting in place clearly directed and timely intervention
The Person
* Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS/PGCE) preferred but other recognised teaching qualification considered
* Experience of teaching to secondary class/group
* Ability to prepare and deliver appropriate curriculum using a range of teaching styles and methodologies.
* Experience within an SEN setting an advantage
