The emphasis will be on the transformation from a paper-based manufacturing organisation, involving the implementation of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES), its integration with an ERP, and the collection and interpretation of data from manufacturing and quality systems. In addition to this, new digital technologies will be identified to improve efficiency. The Associate is expected to collaborate closely with the business partner, actively contributing to the creation of visualisation dashboards for key personnel. The aim is to enhance quality, minimise waste, and optimise processes. The Associate will be based at Teledyne CML Composites' manufacturing facility in Bromborough, maintaining regular communication and receiving support from academic supervisors at LJMU.

* Where appropriate, the Associate may contribute to the company's day-to-day activities. The technical knowledge gained out of it will be used to successfully complete the project.
This is a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP). KTPs are part funded by Innovate UK to support businesses to develop commercially beneficial innovative capabilities, to develop the careers of Associates as future business leaders, and to evidence the impact that the UK's academic Knowledge Base has upon industry. As part of the KTP process, the Associate will be expected to lead on the translational and implementation of technology solutions with high levels of support and empathy for successfully embedding cultural practice change amongst the workforce. An ability to communicate and work on both the day-to-day and to understand and communicate the wider strategic visions of the KTP are essential, together with supporting and contributing towards academic and stakeholder reporting of the KTP.
