Ready to lead the way in delivering safe, sustainable water solutions across our region?
Join the @one Alliance, a collaboration of eight industry-leading companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska, and SWECO) delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme. With AMP8 ahead, we’re gearing up for our biggest challenge yet—delivering an ambitious programme of projects that will shape the future of water infrastructure.
Be at the forefront of complex, novel, and high-value water and water recycling projects.
1. Drive technical excellence, share your expertise, and shape best practices across the commissioning team.
2. Mentor and support apprentices and assistant engineers to develop the next generation of talent.
3. Collaborate with designers, engineers, and operations teams to influence solutions from the start.
4. Lead and manage on-site commissioning activities on major infrastructure projects.
5. Deliver detailed commissioning plans, risk assessments, and impact assessments.
6. Ensure a zero-customer-impact approach to commissioning.
7. Engage in factory testing, site acceptance testing, and performance optimisation.
8. Apply your knowledge of PLCs, MCCs, process control systems, and water/wastewater treatment.
9. Work with a wide range of internal teams and industry-leading external partners.
10. Log and share lessons learned to continuously improve delivery and performance.
11. Make a real difference to projects ranging from £1M to £75M in value.
12. Use your experience to deliver on time, to budget, and safely.
Qualifications we’re looking for:
* HNC (BTEC Level 4) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
* Proven commissioning experience in wastewater.
* Site expertise with control systems, process optimisation, and operations.
* Experience supervising engineers or contractors.
* Degree and professional membership – a bonus!
Essential skills:
* Strong communicator and collaborator.
* Able to juggle priorities across multiple complex projects.
* Full UK driving license.
* IT literate and solutions-focused.
Make a sustainable difference in how water is delivered, today and for the future.
