Park Medical Practice is a two Practice partnership in Somerset. We're looking for an NMC registered Adult or General Nurse for our 30-hour practice nurse vacancy.
We offer fixed shift patterns Monday-Friday with occasional Saturday mornings during flu-season. No very late evenings or nightshifts. Varied appointment times based on need. Free on-site parking. Access to great training and support. The chance to be part of a friendly and progressive surgery with other practice nurses, HCAs, ANPs, Physios, GPs, pharmacists, and our supportive management and admin teams. Main duties of the job
To provide a range of high quality general nursing services and specialist nursing advice and care to patients. Main duties and responsibilities include:
* Chronic disease management
* Child and adult immunisations
* Screening
* Health promotion
* Child health/child protection
* Performing ECGs
* Venepuncture and requesting pathology testing
* Infection control
* Chaperoning and assisting patients and tidiness of nurses rooms
* Attend and participate in clinical and practice meetings when required
* Proactive in identifying own needs for personal and professional development
* Ensure all duties are carried out to the highest possible standard and in accordance with any current guidelines.
* Provide patient care in accordance with current PGDs and clinical protocols
* Any other duties as required

Job responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse who is friendly and enthusiastic to provide a high quality of care to our patients. Experience and training in chronic disease management, childhood immunisations & smears is essential; ear syringing, spirometry, and family planning is preferred. The successful candidate will also be confident, have excellent organisational skills, be able to self-manage, and be IT proficient.
