Twenty2 Recruitment are working exclusively with a Client in Ashby de la Zouch who are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join the team. Successful applicants must have experience working in an Accountancy practice or a multi-Client Bookkeeping role.

The key purpose of the position is to process multiple client’s bookkeeping and payroll requirements accurately and on time, ensuring all deadlines, quality standards and targets are achieved.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Processing clients’ bookkeeping for sole traders, partnerships and ltd companies using Xero and/or Excel
2. Preparing and submitting VAT returns
3. Processing period ends, posting journals and reconciling control accounts
4. Preparing management reports
5. Meeting with clients
6. Preparing year end records for submission to accountant
7. Registering and de-registering sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and VAT schemes
8. Assisting with onboarding new accounts clients
9. Liaising with HMRC, Companies House and clients’ accountants as required
10. Answering clients’ accounts questions and dealing with issues
11. Capturing all sales revenue for invoicing
12. Processing a range of weekly and monthly payrolls for a range of Clients
13. Processing starters and leavers
14. Dealing with pension submissions
15. Managing payroll queries
Experience and skills required:
1. A minimum of 2 years experience in accounts processing in a multi-client environment would be an advantage
2. At least 2 years payroll experience, with experience processing multiple Client payrolls from start to finish
3. Experience using Xero would be an advantage
4. Knowledge of accounting and payroll systems
5. Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word
6. Good interpersonal skills
7. Excellent organisational skills
Pay: Up to £28,000.00 per year
