What's the role?
SMS are looking for a Senior Fleet Administrator to join a busy and dynamic Group Fleet department. The Senior Fleet Administrator will work as part of the team to ensure that SMS has a fully compliant Fleet, and at the same time helping our drivers to stay safe. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is of paramount importance, as well as placing emphasis on safety and legislation compliance.
Opportunities are available to learn and develop Fleet skills with continuing education, making this an excellent role for someone looking for solid career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
Some of the key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Managing the service, maintenance and repair of the Fleet.
* Managing MOTs/Road Tax of the Fleet.
* Managing vehicle breakdowns, ensuring drivers are safe.
* Ensure any replacement vehicles/off hires are added/removed from the MID.
* Managing downtime of vehicles.
* Logging calls from engineers and logging any vehicle related matters on the fleet management system, and/or where necessary escalating to the Fleet manager.
* Logging calls for the fleet department ensuring all details are recorded and passed on to the relevant person within the department.
* Managing the Fleet Admin email inbox and forwarding any emails to other members of the team or categorising emails for other team members to action.
* Assisting with logging road traffic accidents on portals and with insurers.
To be considered for this role, we could love you to have:
* GCSE equivalent A-C.
* NVQ in Business Administration.
* Association of Fleet Professionals Fleet Management Introductory Course (desirable).
* Excellent IT literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook etc.).
* Full driving license is essential.
* Experience in service/maintenance/repair in the motor trade industry.
* Experience in operations/logistics is desirable.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
This role is offered on a hybrid working basis. All of our roles are based on 40 hours per week, with a 30 minute unpaid break for lunch.
