The Role
Gateley Smithers Purslow are looking to recruit a full time Technical Administrator to join our growing team in Exeter. The Team Administrator’s role is to provide support to the Senior Administrator and Administration Manager to complete the administration requirements within their office/team and support individuals and technical teams by providing efficient and effective administrative, typist and secretarial support.
This position provides a perfect opportunity for the successful candidate to show their ambition, drive and passion for customer service. Delivering our values, a professional manner and good interpersonal communication skills are essential. You will be responsible for the following:
1. Secretarial duties consisting of mostly audio typing long reports, emails, scanning and photocopying
2. Diary Management
3. Ensure all enquiries are managed to agreed SLAs
4. Publishing to and updating the Business Management System (BMS)
5. Answering telephone calls and taking clear and concise messages
6. Arranging appointments for site visits, updating the company outlook calendar
7. Liaising with the company’s clients
8. At all times to comply with the requirements of the Company’s administrative, personnel procedures and Health & Safety regulations
The Person
Candidates will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
1. Experience of handling a broad range of customers on the telephone, providing high-quality customer care and understanding
2. Experience of working in a secretarial and administrative role
3. Experience of working with individuals across departments and liaising with external customers
4. Fast and efficient typing skills
5. Experience using Microsoft Excel
6. Computer literate and fast, precise typing skills
7. Good time management skills, solid organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
8. Ability to work on own initiative but understand the importance of working well within the team
9. Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
10. Enthusiastic, committed and a fast learner with previous experience of a busy environment
