Job overview
Alder Hey Children’s Hospital is looking to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team. The HR Business Partner will lead and direct the people strategy within the Division of Medicine. The role reports into the Associate Director of People.
The successful candidate will have extensive HR knowledge of employment law and operational HR expertise, with a track record of achievement in a complex healthcare organisation. You will be able to manage complex relationships with stakeholders with a knowledgeable, diplomatic approach. An ability to influence people to achieve pragmatic outcomes aligned to our strategic priorities is essential.
You should be CIPD qualified, hold a Masters/Post-graduate level qualification or equivalent, and have experience of leading strategic and operational Human Resource Management in a complex multi-disciplinary organisation.

Main duties of the job
1. Lead and direct the HR agenda within specified Division.
2. Provide leadership and expert advice in relation to absence management, workforce planning, employee relations, and development of staff.
3. Participate in the Divisional senior management team, understanding the business and financial position.
4. Provide expert advice and guidance in all employee relations cases, ensuring adherence to Trust policies.
5. Promote a positive approach to employment relations, building strong partnerships.
6. Work with managers on all aspects of change management.
7. Ensure regular, meaningful workforce information is provided to line managers.
8. Contribute to the review and development of new policies and procedures.
9. Participate fully in business planning and budget setting processes.
10. Quality assure HR related documentation prior to issuance.
